Tony Awards 2019

Mythical Greek tuner “Hadestown” led the way at the 73rd annual Tony awards winning a total of eight prizes, including best musical. The night’s other big winner, IRA thriller “The Ferryman,” picked up top honors for best play and best director for Sam Mendes.

On the acting side, comic legend Elaine May received her first-ever Tony at the age of 87 for “The Waverly Gallery.” Bryan Cranston, earning his second Tony, won best actor in a play for taking on mad newsman Howard Beale in “Network.” In the musical acting categories, Santino Fontana won best actor for “Tootsie,” while Stephanie J. Block was named best actress in a musical for “The Cher Show.”

Mr. Mercedes – Season 3

The David E. Kelley drama was renewed for a third season a few weeks after wrapping its second season in 2018. Kelley will return as showrunner, along with director Jack Bender. and Stephen King who also return as one of the show’s executive producers.

The upcoming 10 episode season of Mr. Mercedes continues the story of Bill Hodges which is based on the Stephen King novels.

 

 

Filming for Season 3 continues in Charleston for Mr. Mercedes. AT&T Audience Network has set 10 p.m. Tuesday, September 10, for the Season 3 premiere .
